INTRODUCTION & CUSTOMER ASSURANCE
At Truth Power Batteries, quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction are our highest priorities.Each battery manufactured by us undergoes strict quality control checks and is designed to deliver dependable performance when used and maintained as per recommended guidelines.
This warranty document forms a legally binding agreement between Truth Power Batteries and the original purchaser of the battery.It explains in detail the warranty coverage, exclusions, operating conditions, maintenance responsibilities, safety instructions, and environmental obligations associated with the use of lead - acid batteries.
1.SCOPE OF WARRANTY
1.1 This warranty applies exclusively to new lead- acid batteries manufactured and sold by Truth Power Batteries for use in:
Two wheelers
Three wheelers
Four wheelers
E - rickshaws
Inverters / UPS
Solar systems
Gensets
Industrial backup applications
1.2 The warranty covers only manufacturing defects arising from faulty material or poor workmanship affecting normal battery performance.
1.3 This warranty does not cover performance deterioration due to normal aging, wear and tear, or improper usage.
2.WARRANTY PERIOD STRUCTURE
2.1 The warranty period comprises:
Free Replacement Period(FOC)
Pro - Rata Warranty Period, if applicable
2.2 The total warranty duration(FOC +Pro - Rata) is clearly mentioned on:
Battery label
Warranty card
Invoice
2.3 The warranty period starts strictly from the date of sale as mentioned on the original invoice issued to the first purchaser.
2.4 In the event of free replacement, the warranty shall continue from the original date of sale and shall not restart.
2.5 Batteries replaced under pro-rata settlement do not carry any fresh warranty unless explicitly stated in writing by the Company.
3. ELIGIBILITY & WARRANTY VALIDITY
Warranty shall be valid only if all the following conditions are met:
Battery purchased from an authorized dealer
Original invoice produced at the time of claim
Battery serial number is intact and legible
Battery installed and operated as per company guidelines
Battery used only for the recommended application
Proper maintenance carried out regularly
Failure to meet any of the above conditions shall render the warranty void.
4. WARRANTY CLAIM PROCESS
4.1 In case of performance issues, the battery must be submitted to an authorized dealer / service center.
4.2 The customer must provide:
Original invoice
Warranty card
Complete battery in untampered condition
4.3 The battery shall be technically examined and tested.
Testing may take 2–5 working days depending on failure nature.
4.4 Decision of Truth Power Batteries regarding repair, replacement, or rejection shall be final and binding.
5. WARRANTY COVERAGE (WHAT IS COVERED)
Warranty covers failures arising solely due to:
Manufacturing defects in plates
Separator failure
Internal short circuit due to material defect
Abnormal self-discharge due to manufacturing fault
Premature capacity failure under normal operating conditions
6. WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS(WHAT IS NOT COVERED)
Warranty shall not apply if failure occurs due to any of the following:
6.1 Improper Usage & Installation
Reverse polarity connection
Loose terminal connections
Incorrect cable size
Installation in poorly ventilated areas
Use in application not recommended by company
6.2 Charging & Electrical Issues
Overcharging or undercharging
Faulty alternator / inverter / charger
Bypassed or defective low-cut voltage protection
Inadequate charging cycles
6.3 Maintenance Negligence
Dry running
Low electrolyte levels
Use of tap water, mineral water, acid, or additives
Failure to top-up distilled water periodically
Corroded terminals due to poor maintenance
6.4 Physical & External Damage
Cracked container or cover
Broken or melted terminals
Damage due to vibration, shock, or mishandling
Fire, flood, accident, theft, or natural calamities
6.5 Unauthorized Actions
Battery opened or repaired by unauthorized personnel
Serial number altered or removed
Battery transferred to another user
7. PRO-RATA WARRANTY SETTLEMENT
7.1 After completion of the free replacement period, warranty claims shall be settled on pro-rata basis.
7.2 Pro-rata value shall be calculated based on:
Total warranty period
Months already used
Remaining warranty duration
7.3 Customer shall bear:
Pro-rata cost difference
Transportation charges
Any applicable taxes
8. PERFORMANCE DISCLAIMER
8.1 Backup duration and performance of lead-acid batteries reduce gradually with age and usage.
8.2 Reduction depends on:
Depth of discharge
Frequency of cycling
Maintenance quality
Ambient temperature
Such reduction is normal and does not qualify as a manufacturing defect.
9. SOLAR & INVERTER APPLICATION CONDITIONS
Battery must be connected through a properly rated charge controller
Controller settings must comply with battery specifications
Deep discharge protection must be functional at all times
Panels and inverter must be correctly sized
Failure to comply voids warranty.
10. AUTOMOTIVE & E-RICKSHAW CONDITIONS
Alternator voltage must remain within specified range
Additional electrical accessories must not overload system
Battery must be firmly clamped to avoid vibration damage
Repeated jump-starting is not recommended
11. OWNERSHIP OF REPLACED BATTERY
Any battery replaced under warranty becomes the sole property of Truth Power Batteries.
No scrap value or rebate shall be payable.
12. TAXES & CHARGES
All applicable GST or statutory levies on repair or replacement shall be borne by the customer.
13. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Truth Power Batteries shall not be liable for:
Loss of business or profit
Equipment damage
Downtime or inconvenience
Indirect or consequential losses
14. ENVIRONMENTAL & LEGAL COMPLIANCE
Lead-acid batteries contain toxic lead and sulphuric acid. Improper disposal is hazardous and punishable under law.
Customers must return used batteries only to:
Authorized dealers
Manufacturers
Approved collection centers
Unauthorized disposal may lead to legal action.
15. CUSTOMER CONSENT & JURISDICTION
By purchasing the battery, the customer confirms acceptance of all terms herein.
All disputes shall be subject to exclusive jurisdiction of courts at Uttar Pradesh.
